Sustainable production of biomass for use as a feedstock to a biorefinery will require significant advances in our understanding of agricultural sciences.  Two of the key questions facing this community are

(A) What are the appropriate bioenergy feedstock species to produce when considering energy, economic and greenhouse gas analyses, and crop physiological advantages for the region?

(B) How can the development of diverse agroecosystems provide both bioenergy feedstocks and ecosystem services simultaneously?
